Important information re: Summer Hours & Open Lab

As we near the end of the school year, here are the summer hours here at the Vail Innovation Center.

VDL office will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm during the summer.  During these times, students will be able to come in for both testing and Open Lab.

All testing will be done by confirmed appointment only.  Please call 879-1303 or email us at to schedule your appointment.  Also, all messages and emails will be returned on Tuesdays and Thursdays when we are in the office.

Also, there will be NO night labs next week (May 21st – 23rd).   We will resume our night labs in July when school starts.

Social Media and Your Child

Recent research is showing an increase in anxiety and depression with children who spend time on social media. I recently watched a TedTalk on this subject and found it to be an excellent way to start a conversation with your child. If you choose to share it with them I would very much like to hear your feedback.

Field Trip – March 8th

We will be traveling to the Pima Air and Space Museum.

The Pima Air & Space Museum is one of the largest non-government funded aviation and space museums in the world! Featuring over 350 historical aircrafts, from a Wright Flyer to a 787 Dreamliner. Sitting on 80 acres the museum opened its doors to the public in May of 1976. Over the past forty years, the museum has grown immensely and today encompasses six indoor exhibit hangars (three dedicated to WWII). The cost for this trip will be $5. All parent chaperones are welcome to join us for no charge.
